Machu Pichu

Machu Pichu and the Inca Trail were the most anticipated event of our one year off. First because if you want to do the Inca Trail you have to book the tour way before hand. Second because we would have to walk for 4 days with altitudes between 2600m to 4200m. Not an easy task. But I am here to tell you that we did. Llama at the Sacsayhuaman site in Cuzco

Relaxing…

Sometimes being on a long holiday can be stressful. Last month, Gabi and I, together with her parents, went to a city called São Lourenço, around 150 km from where her parents live. The place is known for its spa centre and medicinal water. I couldn’t resist and got myself in an immersion bath with sulphurous water flavoured with herbal essences. As you can see on the picture below, it does look like dirt water but it is very relaxing.

Patagonia

We have been to Patagonia which is a beautiful place, full of incredible flora and fauna, definitely the highlight of our trip so far. I have selected a few pictures to share with you. Santiago, Mendoza and Bariloche

The year starting with us hitting the road. On the 12th of January we flew to Santiago in Chile. We spend three days there and got to know around the city and have some delicious fish in Santiago’s Central Market. We also visited Val Paraiso and Vina del Mar coast side cities outside Santiago. We left Santiago to go to Mendoza and we did that by traveling through the Andes by Bus.

Happy New Year

In December we have been spending a wonderful time in Brazil with my family and Gabi’s parent. Right now I am with my family where we had Christmas and tomorrow is the New Year. Gabi is with her family around 400 kms from where I am. We will be reunited in a few days. BTW I hope everyone had a good Christmas and I wish you and your family a Happy New Year.
