Hi 👋 |

My First Triathlon

I have participated on my first Triathlon this month. It was a team effort, I have done the run and my friend Leigh did the swimming and cycling. This is an Enticer Triathlon and the distance are 350 meters swim, 8 km cycling and 2 km run. The ideia is to get people started. My next Triathlon will probably be on the 3rd of March and I will run again but this time 5 km, we are just waiting on a confirmation from the cyclist and Leigh will do the 750 meters swim this time.

Xmas 2012

This year Gabi and I spent Christmas with Tati, Matthias and the kids. It was really nice. Thomas and Anna were really excited with the presents that Santa brought to them. I forgot to bring my camera, so we took photos with Tati’s camera and I haven’t got the pictures with her yet. So I snapped a picture of the Xmas tree with my phone. I wish everyone a Happy 2013.

What I have been working on

This month it was release the app that I have been working on for the past 5 to 6 months. The name of the app is Bupa Family Moments from the Australian health provider Bupa. And the app is a social network for parents share the moments with their kids and track their children growth. The goal is for parents to have a closer network than Facebook for example, so they can really share every moment with people that really cares.

Our 6th year wedding anniversary

Gabi and I had our 6th Wedding Anniversary this month. To celebrate we went to the Blue Mountains and had a lovely weekend. On Saturday it was raining a bit but we managed to do a 3 hours bush walk in Blackheath and on Sunday it was really warm and sunny. We simply loved the weekend.

Anna is 4

My niece Anna completed 4 years on the 1st of September. Tati and Matthias gave a party at their place for 11 kids. It was crazy (for the adults) and fun (for the kids). Anna had a blast. Here is the photo of the kids getting ready to sign happy birthday around the Barbie cake.

Gamers will save the world

I love TED talks. And I love then so much that I am trying to get Gabi to join me at least once a week to watch one or a few TED talks. The other day I have stumbled upon this TED talk from Jane McGonigal about Gaming can make a better world. Her talk is from 2010 and it has a lot unique insights that shows to me that games and gamers should be taken more seriously by everyone.
