This month I have turned 36 years old. We had a small gathering at home. Anna, Thomas, Tati, Matthias, Emily, Helen and Peter. Gabi baked some pão de queijo and we bought a chocolate cake to celebrate. It was a really nice and special afternoon.
This month Gabi and I babysat Jazz a Guinea Pig from Anna’s and Thomas school. She is an adorable little being.
She loves grass and Gabi made sure that she had plenty. We even took her to see an exotics animal vet because she was squeaking while peeing, but she was fine. It was a lovely 15 days and she will be missing by both of us.
Today has been 9 years since I arrived in Australia for the first time. It is unbelievable how time flies I don’t feel I have been here for that long. One thing though is true, I still love to live here.
I found my old passport and took a picture to post and document the occasion here.
Yesterday I traveled to Newcastle with Donna and Leigh for the Triathlon. Gabi had a cold so she couldn’t come. We first drove to Morisset on Saturday and stayed and Leigh parents place. Leigh’s friend Thomas would do the cycling but it got cancelled. Leigh would do the swim but he injured his back so he couldn’t compete. Since the cycling was cancelled because of the roads had been wet by the huge swell, the running was extended to 6.
I have participated on my first Triathlon this month. It was a team effort, I have done the run and my friend Leigh did the swimming and cycling. This is an Enticer Triathlon and the distance are 350 meters swim, 8 km cycling and 2 km run. The ideia is to get people started. My next Triathlon will probably be on the 3rd of March and I will run again but this time 5 km, we are just waiting on a confirmation from the cyclist and Leigh will do the 750 meters swim this time.
This year Gabi and I spent Christmas with Tati, Matthias and the kids. It was really nice. Thomas and Anna were really excited with the presents that Santa brought to them. I forgot to bring my camera, so we took photos with Tati’s camera and I haven’t got the pictures with her yet. So I snapped a picture of the Xmas tree with my phone.
I wish everyone a Happy 2013.
